The business was originally founded in Cairns, Australia in 2001, before expanding across the Tasman and opening our Napier store in 2003. Over the years we grew our range, became a regular fixture on the airshow circuit, and moved into progressively larger premises as the business expanded — eventually settling into our current home in the Scinde Building in Napier.
In 2021, majority shares of the Australian side of the business were sold to Flight Experience, and the New Zealand store was rebranded as Pilot Shop — allowing us to focus entirely on serving Kiwi aviators. We’ve continued to grow ever since, most recently receiving our CAA Part 19f approval in 2025, a milestone that reflects our ongoing commitment to quality and the industry.
