Keep your bearings. Free your hands.

When the route leaves the track, keep navigation close at hand. The Garmin Foretrex® 901 Ballistic Edition brings multi-band GNSS, an easy-to-read display and Applied Ballistics® software to your wrist. A practical choice for New Zealand hunters, backcountry explorers and precision shooters who want navigation and ballistic tools without another device to hold.

BALLISTIC TOOLS ON YOUR WRIST

For hunters and precision shooters who want more than navigation, the Ballistic Edition includes Applied Ballistics software. Manage ballistic profiles through compatible smartphone connectivity and keep your navigation and ballistic tools together in one wrist-mounted unit.

BUILT FOR DAYS OUTSIDE

Wet bush, exposed ridgelines and changing weather are part of heading into the New Zealand backcountry. The Foretrex 901 combines an IPX7 water-resistance rating with construction tested to MIL-STD-810 standards for conditions including shock, vibration, temperature, altitude and humidity. Thermal, shock and water testing applies to the bare unit only.

PACK SPARE BATTERIES, NOT A CHARGING PLAN

For an early start or a multi-day trip, get up to 100 hours in navigation mode or up to 1,000 hours in expedition mode. Two field-replaceable AAA batteries let you carry spare power and swap batteries along the way, without waiting for a recharge. Batteries sold separately.

SPECIALIST FEATURES WHEN YOU NEED THEM

For users with tactical requirements, stealth mode stops GPS data storage and sharing and disables wireless connectivity. A kill switch clears the device memory when needed, while Jumpmaster mode adds a specialist navigation option.

KEEP YOUR BEARINGS BEYOND THE TRACK

Check your heading and elevation without digging a device out of your pack. Multi-band GNSS supports improved positioning accuracy, backed by a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis compass and barometric altimeter. The monochromatic display is easy to read in varied light and is also compatible with night vision goggles. Use it alongside your map, compass and trip plan.

KEEP YOUR CONNECTED KIT WITHIN REACH

Plan your trip with Garmin Explore™, then link a compatible smartphone for smart notifications on your wrist. If you carry a compatible inReach® satellite communicator, pair it to view messages directly on the Foretrex screen.¹ The Foretrex is not a standalone satellite communicator.
